Sony has confirmed the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games that will be released in August 2022. We already knew about three Yakuza games that were being added into PlayStation Plus this month, but the trio will be joined by nine more PS5 and PS4 games in Extra. Fans will be disappointed to learn there are no more games being added to the PS Plus Classics Collection this month, though.
PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2022 new games
There will be 12 new games added to PS Plus Extra with no additional PlayStation Plus Classic games added to PS Plus Premium. The games will join the service on August 16, 2022, as predicted, and it looks like new games will be added to the PS Plus collection on the third Tuesday of every month. Some of the games are surprises, such as the aforementioned Dead By Daylight, but the list does prove the leak earlier this week was accurate. Unfortunately, the rumors involving PS Plus Classics like Legend of Dragoon, Dino Crisis, SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny, Ridge Racer 2, and Resistance 2 are yet to come to fruition. Here is the full list of games coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium this month:

It’s worth noting that more Yakuza games — Yakuza 3 Remastered, Yakuza 4 Remastered, Yakuza 5 Remastered, and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life — have been promised for some point later on this year but we’re not sure exactly when that will be .
In other news, Sony is no longer reporting PS4 sales and shipments. Elsewhere, the PS5 is finally getting a Disney+ app.
